Does this sound familiar?
“10 steps to….”
“A surefire way to…”
“Do this and your life will change instantly…”
And just because it worked for person A, it is not a sure-fire guarantee that it will work for you.
It is never one size fits all, correct?
So, how do I choose which one is the best for me?
Choose the one that resonates with you the most.
And if you don’t like it? Or if it doesn’t work like you expected?
It is NEVER a failure or a poor choice, but an experience to prepare you for the next one.
Ask yourself each time – does this option make me feel good & be happy about?
If it did not feel good, thank that option for showing you what didn’t work and what you learned from the experience.
It does not matter what other people think of your choice – your happiness is what matters.
Yes, it can be helpful to listen to what others say,
However,
Ultimately it is you who are going to live by that decision.
What makes them happy might not make you happy.
Decide for yourself what is going to make you happy.
If it were not a good option for you, despite telling ourselves that we are okay, it will eventually show up in a different form -The most common one is difficulty in falling asleep.
I experienced this recently before I decided to resign from my job of 13 years.
It initially started with me needing half sleeping pill to help me sleep.
Didn’t think much of it believing that it is not a bad thing for having a sleeping pill to help me sleep
But when that happened almost daily and having to increase my intake to a bigger dose of it, I realized something needed to be done
And as hard and heartbreaking this decision was, it needed to be done
Even now, there have been times where I am pondering whether resigning is the right choice
But what I do know is my sleeping now has improved greatly.
Though I am still not clear of where I am heading next, I am at peace with where I am right now.
Let this post be an invitation to you to start exploring and find that happiness !
